Salt Lake City, UT - Allen Bruce Larsen, age 49, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2009, surrounded by his family, after a long and valiant battle with a lingering illness. He was born April 24, 1960 in Heber City, Utah to Kent T. and Helen Allred Larsen. Bruce is survived by his parents, Kent & Helen Larsen of St. George, UT; his siblings: Rick (MaryAnn) Larsen of Monroe, UT., Lynn (Jan) Larsen of Elko, NV., Pat (Dave) Newhouse of Heber City, UT., and Lisa (Mark) Dastrup of St. George, UT; many nieces and nephews, and his two “children”, his cats, Pete and Frankie. 391293St. George, UT - Ruby Daniels, age 87, passed away on July 3, 2009 due to complications from a fall. She was born on November 8, 1921 to Cyrus and Eliza Wilberg at their home in Castle Dale, Utah. She married William Campbell and later divorced. She married Boyce L. Daniels on October 18, 1965. Ruby worked her whole life including 20 years for Dr. Hal Harmon. She and Boyce lived in Bountiful until1984. She and Boyce retired and enjoyed their traveling and fishing from the cabin in Island Park to their 5th Wheel Travel Trailer before settling in St. George in 1993. She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers: Lamar, Ted, Lloyd, and Kenneth. She is survived by her husband, Boyce Lee Daniels; daughter, Sandra (Kendal) Kiesel; son, Bill Campbell; step-daughter, Debra (Ray) Smith; grandchildren, Corey (Lana) Kiesel, Kelly (Nanette) Kiesel, Kristy (Brett) Lance, Bonnie (John) Ruskauff, B.J. Campbell, Brandy Smith, D.J. Smith, Dustin Smith; and 11 great-grandchildren. Ruby was a great wife and mother. We will always love you “Mammer”. Memorial services will be held Thursday, July 9, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Metcalf Pine View Mortuary, 566 N. Mall Dr., St. George, Utah. 390033-1Iris Georgia Connelly Roberts passed away on July 2, 2009 in Hurricane, Utah. She was born July 22, 1931 in Levan, Utah to George Graham Connelly and Esther Eliza Gardner Connelly. She graduated from Granite High School in Salt Lake City and married LaVon “Barney” Alvin Roberts on July 13, 1953 in the Manti Temple. They have four children: Susan (David) Fullmer, Frank (Jan) Roberts, Paul (Janae) Roberts, and Carolyn (Ken) McCauley. Iris experienced great success selling Avon and made many friends. In 1993, they moved to Hurricane to enjoy the warm weather and a new home. Iris is survived by her loving husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and four sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother. The family would like to thank Hurricane Rehabilitation Center for their kindness and care. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Hurricane LDS Stake Center, 677 South 700 West, Hurricane, Utah. Family and friends are invited to offer condolences one hour prior to services at the Stake Center. Interment will take place at the Hurricane City Cemetery. Enterprise, UT - Edna Bishop was born on June 17, 1916 to Elmer and Florence Crawford in McKeese Rock, Penn. She worked as a school teacher in Long Beach, Calif for many years and kept in close contact with some of her former students. She retired to Enterprise, Utah in 1978 with her husband, Harmon Bishop. Harmon preceded her in death 25 years ago. She leaves no living relatives but many close friends will miss her enlightened mind and quick wit. 389317Ivins, UT - Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend, peacefully returned home to her Heavenly Father while surrounded by her family on June 30, 2009 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Sherry was born on April 20, 1948 to Fred Perry and Betty Lou Barney Jackson. She is the second of seven children. Sherry lived in many cities in Oregon, Colorado, New Mexico, Iowa, Ohio and Texas, but Bountiful, Utah was always considered home. Sherry spent each year of her Jr. High and High School in a different school but graduated her senior year from Bountiful High School in 1966. She married the love of her life Lyman Kapple Peterson in the Salt Lake City, Utah LDS Temple on November 17, 1967. Together, they moved to Ivins, Utah in 1979, where they continued living and raising their children for the past 30 years. Sherry’s passion in life was her family. She also had a love for music. She studied music most of her life in many different places. She loved playing the piano, listening to music, and teaching. A love she has passed on to her six children. Sherry also enjoyed traveling, reading, sewing, people watching and life in general. She was a member of the LDS Church and served in several callings, including; young women’s president and advisor, primary president and teacher, visiting teacher, and pianist and organist.
